Catalogue

The first catalogue published in 1993

The first edition of this Catalogue was published in 1993. It was the outcome of the EEC project entitled: “Upgrading the Greek Microorganism Culture Collections to partnership in the MINE Network” in the frame of BAP programme. Strains are listed under their scientific name in alphabetical order.

Within each species, strains are presented in numerical order according to their accession number into the collection.

The sequence of the data on the strains is given by means of the following example:

Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. delbrueckii (Leichmann 1896) Beijerinck 1901 (1) AL (2) 0081 (3) yoghurt (6) ; Greece (8); isol. E. Kambaraki, 1988 (10); MRS broth (13), 42 oC (14);LY, FR30, FR80 (15)
